Sunday Scaries

League rules · 2026 season · version 1

A 10-team half-PPR redraft league on Sleeper. Everything below is the whole rulebook. If it isn't written here, it isn't a rule.

  • Buy-in · $50
  • 1st place · $450
  • Format · Redraft, half PPR
  • Teams · 10
  • Paid to · the commissioner

2

01 The league

  1. Redraft, permanently. No keepers, no dynasty, no taxi squad. Every season starts from a blank slate. Nothing carries over but records and membership.
  2. 10 teams. It never runs at any other number.
  3. This document is the entire rulebook. A rule not written here cannot be enforced. It changes only by the process in section 9.
  4. Sleeper is the system of record for scores, transactions and timestamps. Where this document and a Sleeper setting disagree, this document wins and the setting gets corrected going forward. Weeks already scored stand as they were.
  5. The commissioner is a player with one vote. Every rule below is written to be applied mechanically. Where the commissioner has a personal stake, the rule says who decides instead.

02 Money

Buy-ins are paid directly to the commissioner. There is no escrow service holding league funds.

  1. $50 per manager, paid to the commissioner. No other fees at any point.
  2. The commissioner pays first, before any invitation goes out, and posts the receipt.
  3. Paid in full before the draft, no exceptions. Unpaid means no draft slot, and the spot goes to the waitlist. Nobody drafts on credit.
  4. Full refund any time before the first pick of the draft. From the first pick onward the buy-in is non-refundable for any reason.
  5. If fewer than 10 have paid by the deadline, the draft moves back one week, once. If it's still short after that, the season is cancelled and everyone is refunded in full.
  6. One person, one team. No managing, funding or directing a second team.
  7. A manager removed under section 8 forfeits their buy-in, which stays in the pot.

4

03 Payouts

Prize Amount
2nd place — buy-in returned $50
1st place $450
Total pot (10 × $50) $500
  1. 1st and 2nd are decided by the playoff bracket, not by regular-season record or total points.
  2. The payout structure cannot change once the draft begins.

04 Roster and scoring

Starters (10) Bench IR
QB · RB ×2 · WR ×2 · TE · FLEX ×3 · DEF 5 1
  1. No kicker. FLEX accepts RB, WR or TE — not QB.
  2. Half PPR. 0.5 per reception, all positions.
  3. Scoring: passing TD 4, passing yards 0.04/yd, interception −1. Rushing and receiving TD 6, yards 0.1/yd. Fumble lost −2. Standard team defense scoring.
  4. 16 roster spots total — 10 starters, 5 bench and 1 IR. IR only holds players Sleeper marks IR-eligible. Parking a healthy player on IR is a violation under section 8.
  5. Lineups lock per player at their game's kickoff. An empty or illegal slot scores zero, and there is no remedy after the fact. Setting your lineup is your responsibility alone.
  6. Scores are final once waivers process on Wednesday morning. Stat corrections after that change nothing — not a result.

6

05 Draft

  1. Snake, 16 rounds, live online on Sleeper.
  2. Draft order is randomised after the league fills, never before, using Sleeper's randomiser with the result screenshotted and posted. Nobody's spot comes with a draft position attached.
  3. The date and time are chosen by the members. Everyone marks which slots they can make when they claim a spot, and the slot with the widest availability wins.

7

06 Waivers and free agents

  1. FAAB blind bidding, $100 for the season. No resets, no top-ups. When it's gone, it's gone.
  2. Waivers run once a week, Wednesday morning. Bids are due before then.
  3. Identical bids go to the worse record.
  4. FAAB cannot be traded.
  5. Every dropped player passes through waivers to the next run. Nobody becomes instantly addable, all season.
  6. Between waiver runs, remaining free agents are first come, first served at no FAAB cost.
  7. Once a team is mathematically eliminated from playoff contention it may no longer submit waiver claims. It may still add any free agent after waivers process. Eliminated teams keep every other right.

8

07 Trades

Trading is encouraged. Go get your guys. A lopsided trade is not a crooked one, and this league does not reverse trades for being bad — only for collusion.

  1. Trades process automatically after a two-day review window.
  2. A trade is reviewed only if 75% of owners not involved in it flag it during that window. At 10 teams that's 6 of the 8 uninvolved.
  3. A reviewed trade is reversed only for collusion — a transfer that is not a genuine attempt to improve both teams. Never for imbalance, never for buyer's remorse.
  4. If the commissioner is party to a flagged trade, it goes to a majority vote of the owners not involved. The commissioner takes no part.
  5. The commissioner posts a written explanation to the league whenever a trade is reviewed, whichever way it goes.
  6. Trade deadline is week 11. No trades after it, for any reason.
  7. Draft picks cannot be traded. This is a redraft league.
  8. Confirmed collusion is removal from the league under section 8, with the buy-in forfeited.

9

08 Activity and conduct

Every threshold here is a number, not a judgement. Nobody is removed for playing badly — only for not playing.

  1. A team is inactive if it starts a player on bye or on IR in any two weeks, or leaves a starting slot empty in any two weeks.
  2. First occurrence is a written warning in the league chat and by email.
  3. On the second occurrence the commissioner sets the highest-projected legal lineup each week for that team. No adds, no drops, no trades on their behalf. The roster is not rebuilt.
  4. A manager unreachable for 14 days after a warning is removed, and their spot is offered to the waitlist for the following season.
  5. Tanking is not a violation. Not setting a lineup is.
  6. Harassment, slurs or abuse are removal, first offence, with the buy-in forfeited.

10

09 Season to season

  1. Returning managers keep their spot if they confirm and pay by the stated deadline each year. Miss it and the spot opens.
  2. Open spots are filled from a public waitlist in the order people joined it. The commissioner picks from that list and cannot skip ahead in it.
  3. Rules change by majority vote in the offseason only. Any manager can propose a change.
  4. No rule changes once the draft begins. Not by vote, not by agreement, not unanimously. The rules you drafted under are the rules you finish under.
  5. If the commissioner cannot continue, a majority of managers elects a replacement, and the Sleeper league transfers to them.
  6. Records carry forward. Champions, weekly high scores and all-time results are kept permanently.

Acceptance

Sunday Scaries · 2026 · version 1 — paying the buy-in is acceptance of these rules
